Tigers, we’re coming up on the thirty year reunion of our graduation from good ole Martin County High School, and plans are already underway for a really great reunion celebration, June 15-17, 2012.

Our 30-Year Reunion weekend will be jam packed with a healthy balance of “nostalgic mayhem” and family-appropriate fun events — most free, some requiring the purchase of tickets.  Read more about them below:

Our Reunion weekend is packed with a healthy balance of fun family-appropriate events and nostalgic mayhem. We’ve also balanced the weekend with an assortment of free and pay events to make the Reunion possible for everyone in our class to enjoy. Also, through PayPal, you can purchase tickets with their “Bill Me Later” option, so even if you might not have cash on hand, you can buy your tickets now and pay it off in installments over time. So now that we’ve made payment easier for you, here’s the Reunion weekend line-up:

  • Friday Night Reunion Pub Crawl – Free
  • Saturday Afternoon Reunion Picnic – Free  (primary event)
  • Saturday Night Reunion Dinner-Dance – $75 + $10 late fee (primary event)
  • Sunday Morning Reunion Golf Outing – $35
  • Sunday Morning Reunion Skydiving Jump – $195
  • Sunday Afternoon Reunion Beach Party – Free

For more information and details about all these events, go to: http://mchs82.org/30-year-reunion/30-year-reunion-events

To date,  over 200 of our classmates have registered …  most indicating they are planning to join us for the 30-Year Reunion. But we know this is just the tip of the iceberg, as many of our classmates still don’t even know about the website or Reunion. You can help fix this problem!

If you’ve not yet registered, go to the Registration Office: http://mchs82.org/ registration-office

If you’re not sure if you’re registered, check the MCHS82 MIA Roster, and, while you’re there, if you see any of your personal friends from our class who are still MIA and don’t yet have a “Tiger Buddy” signed up to help us find them, please put your name down and make a concerted effort to make sure they know about the Reunion and about the website, encouraging them to register!

Thanks for all your help with the Reunion. If as many people come who’ve said they are, we’re looking at blowing away past attendance records and having a weekend of legend! And with your help, we’ll do it!

The Reunion Planning Committee worked with the Martin County Convention & Visitors Bureau Tourist & Information Center and local hotels and lodging facilities to solidify group discounts for classmates attending the Reunion. Aside from providing you a break on your expenses for the weekend, we hope this will increase the likelihood your fellow classmates will stay at these lodges and increase your chances for spending time with them. We’ve selected the following hotels, offering a variety of rates and options:

  • Quality Inn
  • Clarion Inn
  • Hampton Inn
  • Old Colorado Inn

In addition, Clint Carbonneau is organizing a group of people to stay at the Hutchinson Island Marriott (the old IRP) in order to get a group discount there. If interested, please contact Clint directly at clintjc1@cfl.rr.com or through the event page he’s created on Facebook.

For more information on our host hotels, group rates, and to book your rooms, go to: http://mchs82.org/30-year-reunion/30-year-reunion-host-hotels.

We can’t wait to see all of you again!
